School Furniture Replacement Snap on Caps to work on VCT tile school floors

Install wizard patented Wizard type floor saver glide™ technology on existing chairs with these wizard replacement caps. Caps are easy to install and extend the life of your glides while protecting your floors.

Repair and replace worn and damaged glides with easy to install snap-on caps. Snap-on caps install easily over existing glides and prevent floor damage or scratching that a worn or damaged glide can cause, adding new life to old school glides. The Floor Saver Glide® snap-on caps on VCT tile floors, protect the floors from damage from dirt and sand. This unique patent pending base acts as a plow and pushes the dirt and sand away rather than run over it like standard glides. The Floor Saver Glide® snap-on caps have been proven in side-by-side tests to prevent floor damage as compared to standard glides and reduce maintenance costs.

Snap-on caps are designed to snap over glides with swivel bases which are approximately 1-1/4” in diameter. You can measure the diameter, or width across the base with a vernier, a hole gage or by simply holding a ruler to the bottom of the base to estimate that the diameter is 1-1/4”. If your glide base is much smaller, for example less than 1” in diameter across the metal at the widest point, then these caps will not fit your glide. The overwhelming majority of glides in the field on school furniture are the standard size of approximately 1-1/4” in diameter and will work with these caps.

Regardless of the manufacturer, it is important to check the glides on your existing furniture to find out if they have low-profile or deep-profile bases. To assist you please refer to the photo above which shows a low-profile glide base and a deep-profile glide base on the right. Clearly the deep-profile is taller than the low-profile base and the deep-profile base will require a deep-profile snap on cap.
